Hearing Link Tasmania has been involved in the provision of Industrial hearing screenings to businesses affected by loud noise for over three years. Over 2009 through 2010, Hearing Link is actively marketing our Hearing Screening, Education and Protection services to Tasmanian Industry.
It is a Tasmanian government requirement that all industries where employees are provided with hearing protection ensure that those employees are given hearing screenings annually. All other workplaces are recommended to have their employees hearing tested at least once every five years.
At present very few businesses in Tasmania adhere to these requirements, leaving them selves vulnerable to compensation claims which often exceed $20,000. Many businesses have no idea whether their workplaces exceed the minimum noise standards as expected under national standards.
Hearing Link can help with workplace noise assessments and staff hearing screenings to ensure that employees receive the best possible care and protection.
If you are concerned about the hearing health of your staff we can arrange for an initial consultation and complimentary hearing screening for the manager. We will then provide your organisation with a full quotation.
